Quenta Magenta is in beta

We're testing it with a small group of creators, so it will change, and this page will change with it.

Quenta Magenta is made and run by Falter Media. This page says what we keep when you use it, who helps us run it, who can see your things, and how to delete them.

What we keep

  • Your account: your email address, your role, and your name if we've added it. Signing in is handled by the service that stores your account (listed below).
  • Your brands: the profile you set up for each brand, and what's in its Story Vault: your stories, principles and offers, the sources you add (podcast episodes, videos, documents, recordings) and your answers in Train Quenta.
  • Your work: transcripts, what Quenta writes from them, scripts, tool results, Story Agent chats, share links, and the prompts and saved text you keep.
  • Messages you send us from Help, so we can answer them.
  • A usage record: each time Quenta transcribes or writes something, we note whose it was, what kind of work it was and what it cost us to run. It's how usage limits work.
  • A few things in your browser: the cookies that keep you signed in, and small settings like your theme and the last brand you opened. We don't use advertising or analytics trackers.

Audio and video files

We keep an audio or video file you upload only until it's transcribed. Once the transcript is saved, the file is deleted. If a transcription fails, the file is deleted too, except in one rare case: when the transcript was made but couldn't be saved, we keep the file so the recording isn't lost.

When you paste a link, our server fetches the recording from the site it's on, transcribes it, then deletes its copy. Sources you add by link are read from the site they're on in the same way.

Files you add as sources are deleted once Quenta has read them. One that can't be read is kept until you try again or remove it, and anything still waiting is deleted with its brand.

What stays until you delete it

Transcripts, everything written from them, scripts, tool results, chats and everything in a Story Vault stay until you delete them, or delete the brand they belong to.

Who can see your things

  • You.
  • The Falter Media team. We can open your brands and your work to set them up, answer your questions and fix problems.
  • Anyone with a share link you make, until the link expires or you turn it off. They see what you shared, not your account.
  • The services below, each only for the part of the work it does for us.

Services that help us run it

  • Anthropic does the writing. It gets what each piece of writing needs: the brand's profile, items from its Story Vault, a transcript, or what you typed. Some tools also search the web through it, to check facts or look up what's ranking.
  • ElevenLabs turns audio and video into transcripts. It gets the recording to transcribe.
  • Supabase stores your account, your brands and your work, holds uploaded files until they're deleted, and handles signing in.
  • Railway runs the servers Quenta Magenta lives on.
  • Resend sends the sign-in emails.
  • Google's YouTube Data API looks up public details (titles and lengths) of the videos you add as sources, one at a time or a whole channel or playlist. When you add a shared Drive folder, Google also lists the files in it.

Deleting your things

  • A recording: delete it from your recordings. Its transcript and everything made from it go with it.
  • A brand: delete it from its menu or its settings. Its recordings and what was made from them, its share links, tool results, scripts, chats, sources and Story Vault go with it.
  • Anything else, or your whole account: ask us at falter.media/contact.

Deleting can't be undone. The usage record stays, without the work itself, because it's part of our accounts. Deleted things can stay in our storage provider's backups for a short time before those are replaced.

When this page changes

This page changes as Quenta Magenta does. The date at the top says when it last changed.
